| Welcome to the Oak Creek Observatory We are located in the northern
Sacramento valley of California about 140 miles north of the city of Sacramento and 140
miles south of the Oregon border. We have our ten foot dome on a rural five acre parcel
where we live. The location is in hilly, oak covered land surrounded by snow capped
volcanoes. The winters are mild but wet (marine west coast) and the summers are hot and
dry (warm Mediterranean). We grow grapes, oranges, grapefruit and berries for our use and
are a retired couple originally from Davis, Ca. where we both worked at the Davis UC
campus for some 33 years, one as a research associate in the area of plant biochemistry
and the other as a campus library assistant.

Comet A2 Linear as of 11:16 PM on July 17, 2001. It was taken for 160 seconds with a 30cm SCT and ST-8 camera. It was glowing at ~ magnitude 5.7 and was in
Pegasus. A faint second tail is just visible above the main tail.
